Its been one month since Bryson and I tied the knot! We thought it would be a fun idea to document our honeymoon as best sa we could! Of course we didn’t get every detail (and our blogging skills need a little bit of work), but to say the least, we had an amazing time together in the beautiful town of Blowing Rock, NC in our favorite part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Since our photography business is so new, we wanted just a little quiet getaway so we could get back to work after a little break! We stayed at the relaxing Chetola Resort in the middle of town and it couldn’t have been sweeter! We ate a lot of food and did a lot of relaxing! Take a look at some of our adventures together for yourself! 🙂

Our first day in the mountains we decided to just relax and enjoy a day of rest at the resort which we hadn’t had in a long time because of all the craziness leading up to the wedding!

That night we went out to Blowing Rock Brewery, which is a must if you are visiting in the area! Their beer and burgers are amazing!

The next day we spent our time exploring some new areas (and an amazing swimming hole) that we hope to visit with future clients! We also checked out the original Mast General Store in Valle Crusis!

We found THE coolest swimming hole not too far from us. Spent some of the day sunbathing on the rocks and playing in the freezing water. I (Kelly) was too wimpy to cliff jump!

That night, I took Kelly out to an upscale restaurant with the best local Chef up in Banner Elk, NC! If you are ever there, it’s called Louisiana Purchase and it is the best service and food in all the town!

We hung out at the Resort again the next day where Kelly got herself a massage with me! Never had one of those before actually!
-
-
Then we have this amazing moment of Kelly learning to fish! Watch as she makes the crowd go wild with her incredible ability to cast a fishing line!

We also made a new friend that nigh, but he didn’t like us unless we fed him as you will see in a few photos!

Bryson forgot to mention that one of the days we were fishing, and a major storm blew through! We were stuck under the pavilion, the ground flooded and a lightening storm right above us. We got our safety but soaked to say the least!
-
-
Spent the next day exploring in Boone! trying new restaurants, antiquing, and enjoying some quality ciders at Appalachian Mountain Brewery!

Did some shopping in downtown of course and Bryson HAD to go to the beer shop. Which I wasn’t actually mad about.
-
-
We got some really unique wines, ciders, and beer. We definitely suggest going to Benchmark Provisions if you are ever in Boone!

One of the last places we went was another amazing restaurant in Blowing Rock! We went out to Best Cellar where we had some of the best food ever! We apologize, but it was so good we didn’t even take any photos of the main course! When they brought it out I lasted like 5 seconds before I dug in after the waiter left! If you go, get the pizza as appetizer and Pork Chop as main course, we won’t steer you wrong in the area o good food!;)

When we got back that night we did some experimenting with photos and just hangout together!

Finally, our last day was spent at Art in the Park festival where we made new friends, met fellow creators, and enjoyed some beautiful art!
