Lexi & Corbie | Rustic Red Barn Events Wedding

We had such a amazing time at this wedding! Lexi and Corbie were two clients that trusted us when we had absolutely no experience with wedding photography as a couple and we were so happy to repay them for that trust! They booked us around this time last year when we first started Moving Mountains Photography, and Bryson had done like 3 photoshoots lol! They have thanked us over and over for their photos, but we are the ones who really are grateful for amazing people that said yes to us two dreamers! We were straight up with them, and told them we had a passion for telling stories of people’s love, but that we were just starting and hadn’t shot a wedding together yet! How we had a passion for it before we were actually doing it, we aren’t quite sure lol! But we did!

This was a story worth telling too! Lexi and Corbie are truthfully the sweetest people we know. We’ve watched Corbie push Lexi to see her dreams come true, like Bryson has pushed me to go get mine. We’ve seen them fall more in love as they progressed through engagement and into marriage. At only 6 months of knowing Lexi, I asked her to be my Bridesmaid at mine and Bryson’s wedding, because she is the most supportive friend I could ever ask for! These two seriously are just amazing people that deserved a beautiful wedding to celebrate their love! Head Over Heels Weddings and Events did an amazing job giving these two what they deserved, and we were the lucky ones who got to capture it!

Candra & Phillip | Waterfall in the Mountains Engagement Session

It’s not always that we get clients who ask us to go to the mountains with them for their engagement photos, but we sure do love when they do! Especially when they mention waterfalls in Asheville! Candra and Phillip were some of our early on clients and ones that we have had a great time getting to know. Their love is so sweet and kind! Honestly, when you just look at these photos, you can see how gentle and tender they are with each other, which is really cool! We have so many different couples, and all express their love in different ways. We really love that we have the honor of capturing that love and documenting it for our clients so that they never forget how they were when they first decided to take life and all it’s adventures together!

Amani & Delton | Classy Uptown Charlotte Engagement

We keep it 100 around here! These are our our first African-American clients, and we are so pumped that they trusted us and chose to work with us! It has been unique and a different experience than working with ay of our other clients. It’s not just because they have different skin complexion, but it’s because there are different ways that we view things in cultures. It was so funny, because it goes down even to small things like the fact that we were stopped 10 times (way more than any other engagement session) in uptown while girls cheered on Amani (the bride to be) and complimented her. We have just realized that there are so many things that we can learn through this process and carry with us into our own lives. The thing is, we do this with every couple! We take away some of their core values that we love about them, and we try to implement them into our own lives so that we can become better people. Our hope is that we are doing the same with our clients! One of our newest passions with photography, is our ability to help girls with their confidence. The two of us have been given such a unique opportunity to build girls up and help them feel beautiful. Our job isn’t to make them feel flawless, it’s to make them look at themselves in a photo and be content. Kelly has been through all of this first hand, so she knows what it is like to look through a gallery of images and have some she doesn’t like. It isn’t because she didn’t like the photo itself, it’s because she didn’t like the way she saw herself in the photo. That’s why we have begun to build girls up, show them the backs of our cameras, tell them how amazing they look, and tear down any lie that says they don’t look good. This is so much fun for us, and brings us so much joy as believers, because we are able to start calling out the lies of the enemy that are being spoken over all the women in our society. This was a long read, hopefully you made it through! Now enjoy looking at Amani and Delton being fancy in Uptown!

Donna & Rory | Gorgeous Downtown NoDa & McGill Rose Garden Engagement

Donna & Rory, where do I even begin? There was an instant connection when we found out these two loved the NoDa area as much as we do! We met up for a bite to eat one evening and knew we were all a great match from the start. They even introduced us to one of our new favorite restaurants called Haberdish. If you haven’t been there, you are missing out!

During this engagement session, we started shooting where they first hung out and has over time become one of their favorite places to grab a beer. We adventured through NoDa snapping amazing photos of this “model” couple and then ended at the beautiful McGill Rose Garden. Take a look and see that we captured this couple for who they really are. Romantic, fun, and intimate. We cannot wait to be part of their wedding day, especially because she is a girl after my own bohemian heart. Donna & Rory, we love your style and how you love each other!

Location: NoDa & McGill Rose Garden

Tiffany & Nick Wedding | Laurel Ridge Country Club Waynesville, NC

We had such a great time up in Waynesville for these two! It was an incredible day filled with lots of joy! You could just tell that these two were surrounded by many who truly loved them and wanted to cheer them on in life! The Groom, Nick, and much of his side traveled from Kentucky for the big day! Guess it only makes sense that many would travel from far away to come support them since the bride, Tiffany is a flight attendant! Check out how gorgeous their day was up in the mountains at Laurel Ridge Country Club!
