Rachel & Jonathan | Romantic Separk Mansion Wedding Charlotte, NC

This wedding is incredibly special to us, because it marks a change in the way we shoot and the way we started running our company! Rachel and Jonathan had an amazing wedding back in December that we had the privilege of shooting as our first wedding with  a passion for print! What that means is that it was the first wedding we ever shot with the mentality that we were shooting to create a story that would be a new family’s first heirloom!

Their wedding was shot with a new perspective, it was all about them that day! From their wedding forward we have stopped shooting for ourselves and started shooting for our clients! The epic images are great, but the clients care more about the moments that we capture that embody who they are as people and tell their love story in the photo. They are interested in seeing images that evoke emotion and tell how their day felt like to be there. Their wedding was shot from the viewpoint that we were guests at their wedding!

We couldn’t be more thankful for this mentality shift that was gifted to us by friends in the industry! It has allowed us to have so much more joy and purpose in what we do. We are actually changing people’s lives now, and I believe we are saving marriages too! Crazy thing is, we are rewarded for serving our clients! They purchased a 100 page album, decked out to the top to confirm that what we are doing matters to them and all of our other clients! Thank you Rachel and J for letting us take part in your big day! It’ll be one we always remember!

Clarke & Remington | Intimate Mountain Top Wedding

This wedding was a little different from our usual! Some of you may remember the engagement photos we took of Clarke and Remi up in the hills of Virginia at Remi’s family cabin that they built themselves! Well we went back for their wedding in November and had to keep everything under wraps since they eloped with only a few of their closest friends and family members! It was such a beautiful and intimate day! Then last month Kelly traveled to Raleigh to photograph their reception with many more of their friends and family while I photographed a different wedding here in Charlotte! We will share that one next week! For now, enjoy this beautiful wedding and reception between two incredible people that have become friends of ours!

Lindsey & Matthew | Sweet Mountain Engagement Session

Lindsey and Matthew are our first couple to brave the cold…and wet with us! We were actually incredibly surprised at how far they were willing to go with us to get the shot! I was with them underneath a waterfall getting sprayed while taking photos, but it was so worth it! Kelly had to dry our cameras off with a towel it was so wet! Not only was it wet, but it was cold two because it was the middle of November! After braving the wet, we all decided it would be a great idea to go get freezing cold on top of a mountain. It was a fantastic idea actually, because it was a beautiful night with an amazing view! We had a great time exploring the mountains with Lyndsey and Matt, and now we are even more pumped for their wedding next April at the Providence Cotton Mill!

Leave us a comment and let us know if you’d be willing to brave the cold and wet to get killer photos!

Kasey & Brandon | Romantic Mountain Wedding Connelly Springs, NC

This wedding was different from the usual since I didn’t have Bryson by my side until the reception! He was off shooting a wedding that he had booked when we first started our company, which left it all on me to make sure everything went smooth! I’m not as used to that pressure as much anymore because Bryson will typically take all the stressful situations on himself when we are together. This was a great wedding for me though, because it reminded me that I can do it without him, but that I really do love to do weddings with him! Luckily, through this whole process I had Kasey and Brandon who are so amazing! They are incredibly relaxed and fun to be around, so it made for quite the enjoyable day! They got married in the mountains too which made for beautiful portraits! After the ceremony we headed back to Charlotte for the reception where Bryson showed up to knock out all the dancing photos while I edited a day of slideshow for Kasey and all her guests! Couldn’t have asked for a better day than what we had with these two!

Also, if you like the photos of the flowers below, then check out Mandi Boyle Events, because she is amazing! She didn’t do all of the decor and planning for this wedding, but she was a guest and great friends with Kasey, so she made her a stunning bouquet of flowers! We have worked with her before, and can’t wait to work with her again in the future!

Kayla & Jake | Snowy Mountain Winter Engagement Boone, NC

These two cuties endured the snow with us a few weeks back and it was so worth it! Just a couple weeks before Christmas, we travelled up to Boone, NC to capture the love of Kayla and Jake! Both of them are incredibly kind and gentle hearted people! The way Jake was able to make Kayla feel so loved with his words and the way he treated her during our shoot was so amazing! There wasn’t a ton of movement in this shoot because it was so cold, but there are tons of sweet and intimate moments which is our jam! Sometimes its nice to slow things down in a shoot and just capture really authentic and genuine moments between a couple!
